I love mixing opposites. When doing so, you can really bring each texture, color and piece to the forefront. Even multiple pieces at the same time. Today I mixed cream and black, with lace and suede. The look is also edgy, yet soft and feminine. You couldn't get more opposite! I paired a gorgeous, black suede pair of over the knee boots with a vintage inspired lace dress. Every inch of my skin is covered, yet the look still has a hint of sexiness to it. Theres nothing sexier, then not trying to be sexy!
If you have ever been to Hawaii, you'll agree with me that there is no other place on earth like it. From the chill vibes, to the sweet smell of the air, it is truly God's country. Especially Maui. Maui is unlike any other destination, there are no partiers and the vibe is total relaxation. All you can hear are the waves and the birds. Especially at the Hyatt Regency Ka'anapali. This was our third trip to Ka'anapali and our first stay at the Hyatt, and it was our favourite spot by far. The pool is absolutely massive and stunning surrounded by cascading waterfalls and lush greenery. It is situated at the very end of the beach, so you are bombarded with any foot traffic, and a crowded beach. The only people who come down this way are the guests. The grounds also hold an amazing golf course that we tee'd off at a few years ago, and is one of the most beautiful courses my husband has played. The hotel is truly full service as it doesn't just have three amazing restaurants, but also holds a sunglass shop, a Macy's and many other small shops. We barely found ourselves leaving the resort! The hotel also accomodates children, with one of the coolest kids pools Ive ever seen! It actually made me feel awful about leaving the kids behind, because I knew how much my babes would have loved it. But don't fret honeymooners, the kids pool is not in ear shot of the adult pool!
If you ever stay in Maui, we definitely recommend travelling over to Paia, and treat yourself to some delish seafood at Mama's fish house. This gorgeous restaurant calls a tiny, lagoon-like beach home, and has an unparralled view. It is so secluded it feels like its only you and the waves. We were lucky enough to get in for the first reso of the day and had a front row seat. You MUST make resos in advance if you want to get a good seat.
Another must in Maui is venturing to old town Lahaina, it is a quaint strip with shops, pubs, and scrumpteous restaurants. Did I really just say scrumpteous? There is even a Bubba Gump Shrimp! Which Chris Pratt used to work I must add! I forget the name of the restaurant we had dinner at, but you really can't go wrong wherever you eat. After dinner we went down to Fleetwood's Pub which is owned by THE Mick Fleetwood. When he is in house they raise a flag to let everyone know, but sadly he wasn't there when we went.
The rest of our trip didn't amount to much when it comes to blogging, but it was everything we needed and more! We sat by the pool and drank mai tai's for 90% of our trip, did a little snorkelling and gained 30 lbs each from all the delicious food we ate! The crab wontons at The Hula Grill are worth the trip to Maui alone!! Go subscribe to my youtube channel (link at the top of your page) for a full vlog of the trip! Aloha!
Hot off the presses! I just received this bad boy yesterday and I am blown away! From the packaging, to the pigmentation, this palette is literal FIA. For the first time in the Naked series, you can create multiple looks with one palette! No need to reach for transition shades, or mattes or pops of color from other places, this palette has it all. Also different with this palette, is the amount of mattes. There are 7 mattes in this bad boy, which makes me so happy! The key to being able to use only one palette for multiple looks definitely comes down to the range of mattes in the palette, and when it comes to that, UD hit it out of the park. The only flaw with this palette is the shade Lumbre. It was a bit dry, and didn't apply as intensely as it swatched. Other then that, this palette is amazing and you should definitely pick it up when it drops at the end of June!
Along with the Palette, Urban Decay also released 3 limited edition Vice Lipsticks and 2 24/7 Eye Pencils. The eye pencils follow the same mold as the rest in the collection, so there is not much to say specifically about these shades, the formula is creamy and smooth and amazing. They stay all day but blend out to perfection, so it just comes down to if youre looking for these specific colors.
The lipsticks on the other hand are STUNNING. If you are a collector of beautiful packaging then these are for you. The copper bullets are so beautiful I just want to display them on my vanity! They come in 3 colors, two metallized and one, a cream. The two metallized arent for the fate of heart, one being a bright metallic brick red, and the other a metallic rust. The real winner here is the shade Fuel which is a gorgeous warm, pale orange toned nude. It is so hard for me to find a warm nude that doesnt look 90's grunge on me, but this one looks AMAZING. If it compliments me, it will compliment anyone. Its deep enough, yet fair enough to look good on everyone. I sincerely hope this shade is brought into their permanent collection because it is perfection.
