If you have ever been to Hawaii, you'll agree with me that there is no other place on earth like it. From the chill vibes, to the sweet smell of the air, it is truly God's country. Especially Maui. Maui is unlike any other destination, there are no partiers and the vibe is total relaxation. All you can hear are the waves and the birds. Especially at the Hyatt Regency Ka'anapali. This was our third trip to Ka'anapali and our first stay at the Hyatt, and it was our favourite spot by far. The pool is absolutely massive and stunning surrounded by cascading waterfalls and lush greenery. It is situated at the very end of the beach, so you are bombarded with any foot traffic, and a crowded beach. The only people who come down this way are the guests. The grounds also hold an amazing golf course that we tee'd off at a few years ago, and is one of the most beautiful courses my husband has played. The hotel is truly full service as it doesn't just have three amazing restaurants, but also holds a sunglass shop, a Macy's and many other small shops. We barely found ourselves leaving the resort! The hotel also accomodates children, with one of the coolest kids pools Ive ever seen! It actually made me feel awful about leaving the kids behind, because I knew how much my babes would have loved it. But don't fret honeymooners, the kids pool is not in ear shot of the adult pool!
If you ever stay in Maui, we definitely recommend travelling over to Paia, and treat yourself to some delish seafood at Mama's fish house. This gorgeous restaurant calls a tiny, lagoon-like beach home, and has an unparralled view. It is so secluded it feels like its only you and the waves. We were lucky enough to get in for the first reso of the day and had a front row seat. You MUST make resos in advance if you want to get a good seat.
Another must in Maui is venturing to old town Lahaina, it is a quaint strip with shops, pubs, and scrumpteous restaurants. Did I really just say scrumpteous? There is even a Bubba Gump Shrimp! Which Chris Pratt used to work I must add! I forget the name of the restaurant we had dinner at, but you really can't go wrong wherever you eat. After dinner we went down to Fleetwood's Pub which is owned by THE Mick Fleetwood. When he is in house they raise a flag to let everyone know, but sadly he wasn't there when we went.
The rest of our trip didn't amount to much when it comes to blogging, but it was everything we needed and more! We sat by the pool and drank mai tai's for 90% of our trip, did a little snorkelling and gained 30 lbs each from all the delicious food we ate! The crab wontons at The Hula Grill are worth the trip to Maui alone!! Go subscribe to my youtube channel (link at the top of your page) for a full vlog of the trip! Aloha!
